Photos: HDB carpark decorated with flags, but nearby flats have none!

These photos were taken on 2 August 2009, a week before National Day along Yishun Avenue 2:

As we can see from the photos, the multi-storey carpark is completely decorated with the Singapore flags which is obviously the work of grassroots volunteers.

In stark contrast, the HDB blocks in the vicinity of the car park has few flags hung.

Flags and other decorations are put up by grassroots volunteers who have free access to these carpark areas. Residents, however have a choice! Apparently as seen from the no. of flags displayed, not many feel the patriotic urge to do so. 44 years of pay and pay with the prospect of more to come!:D
 
i dun think that building have hooks to hand the flag.
