If VW is the SDP candidate, WP's optimum strategy would be to vigourously contest PE. While WP will most likely lose to PAP, they stand a good chance of beating SDP and cause VW to lose deposit. This will then make WP the undisputed "2nd driver" in Singapore.
If SDP want to play, they will need to field someone much stronger than VW. Among the known players, TJS would be the strongest card to play.

SDP has plenty of well qualified professionals - rephrase that - highly qualified and educated professionals. Go to their website and read those articles written by these professionals.
By highly qualified, it means someone holding an executive position that is well respected by the industry. This is not just someone with a basic bachelor degree working in sales & marketing...

Kong simi petition? Are you cruising for a virtual bruising? I have nothing against VW and if SDP wants to field him, thats cool. He can win on his own merit if the voters click with him. But SDP still has some work to do with its branding, which may not be as credible as...well I don't know.....the WP?
The SDP need to win just ONE time and everything will change. I am betting on the SDP to beat the WP in a straight fight.
The hardcore opposition forces are very in tune with the SDP's fight. WP is a wishy-washy party. Keeping quiet is their forte. Not rocking the boat is their way. Wayanging seems to be in their system.
In a 3-corner fight with the PAP and WP, I am very sure the hard-core oppositionists will side with the SDP. The wayanging has to stop!
