Taiwanese tycoon Terry Gou announced on Wednesday that he will contest next January’s presidential election, a bid that disrupts the race amid rising tension with China. Mr Gou, founder and chairman of Apple supplier Foxconn, said he would run in the primaries of the opposition Kuomintang (KMT).
