So we are encouraged to live our lives fully and avoid suicide. Unless it is because of severe incurable medical conditions, or a clear act of self-sacrifice.

I don't really understand what is said about depression and suicide.

Depression is the no. 1 cause of suicides, naturally.

Some think depression is 100% about chemical imbalance in the brain, ie. it's all a medical disease like cancer, victims are not responsible for being depressed.

Others think that depression is 100% about your own feelings and how you choose to deal with adversity, ie. it's all in the mind, victims are 100% responsible for being depressed.

Both are only partially correct. The real truth behind depression, is that the soul has chosen and/or has a karmic need to work with depression. Thus it will coordinate with both factors above (ie. choosing to be born into a physical body with genetics controlling biochemistry imbalances in the brain that predispose to depression; as well as orchestration by guides & helpers to manifest key events in life, eg. relationship breakup, marriage breakdown, loss of child or family member, loss of job devastating self-esteem, etc), to challenge itself.

Many souls who have a high rate of suicide in past lives, thus have urgent karmic needs (ie. for its own sake of growing stronger) to challenge itself. Thus it will karmically setup circumstances and scenarios in the present lifetime (including both genetic biochemistry predisposition to depression, as well as traumatic events in life orchestrated to trigger depression), to challenge itself.

Each lifetime it fails to surmount the challenges of depression and commits suicide, the next lifetime will be even harder (both in terms of intensity of trauma & depression, as well as being harder to resist the urge to suicide). This is not punishment, but a natural process of needing to do even better next time round to prove to yourself that you've truly overcome your weaknesses.

As much as I wanted to believe in the God
molded by the rituals and laws of the Church, I did
not feel a personal experience of God inside me.
Was it my duty simply to live out this daily ceremony? I
felt I was missing a piece of the puzzle. Had the
nuns kept something from me? Did I miss something at
mass that everyone else had picked up on? Was I the
only one to question their beliefs? The request seemed
simple enough in my young mind: If there is a God,
please show me proof.
My prayer was answered when I was eight years
old. I was lying in bed early one morning when I
felt a strong gust of cold wind blow across my face.
I pulled the blankets closer to me and looked over
to my bedroom window. It was tightly shut. As I
tried to figure out how that gust of wind got in my
room, I looked up and saw a large hand, palm
down, coming from the ceiling. The hand glowed
with a pulsating white light. I was mesmerized,
but somehow unafraid. I didn’t understand what
was happening, but perhaps because I was a child,
I had no fear. I was willing to accept the image I was
seeing as real. I was suddenly filled with an overwhelming
sense of peace, love, and joy. Although
there was no booming voice of God (as often described
in the Bible) to answer my questions or

reveal my destiny, I knew that this vision was God.
I also knew that I would do whatever was necessary
to experience that joyful feeling again. I began
to understand that there was much more to life
than what I had been taught and what I could see
through my physical eyes.
The illuminated hand of God was my first clairvoyant
experience, and though the impact was impressive,
I never mentioned it to anyone. I felt it
was my secret and that no one would believe me
anyway. Later, I would learn much more about
clairvoyance, when the mind is impressed with
various images, shapes, scenes, spirits, faces, and
remote locations not visible to the physical eye.
For example, before falling asleep at night, a number
of different forms, faces, and scenarios are seen
or played out in our mind’s eye. Clairvoyance is
similar to seeing these pictures in our mind. I will
explain clairvoyance further in chapter 2.
A Séance Early One Saturday Evening
After the startling demonstration of the hand, I
was convinced of the existence of God. After all,
only God could manifest out of thin air. However,
a whole new set of questions popped into mind. I
became fascinated with the concept of death and
what happens after we die. I found myself asking

“what if ” questions about heaven and life after
death. Is there a place where we go after we die? Is there
really a heaven or hell, or a place in between? Is life
infinite? All I knew is what I had been taught in
Catholic school, and that was too one-sided. What do
other people believe about God and life after death? I
wanted to understand. I wanted to know more.
I wanted to investigate further. Little did I know
that a supernatural adventure would come soon.

karma is not simple 1-cause-corresponding-to-1-effect kind of mechanism.

it is complex and the mechanism and "accounting" of causes and results/effects are unknowable to anyone.

Karma is NOT punishment. All religions have got the wrong idea of Karma (or for that matter, of Enlightenment, of Reincarnation, of God, etc). To correctly understand Karma, see the book "The Way of Karma" by Charles Breaux (a powerful psychic who can see all your past lives simply by looking into your eyes*, his book describes case studies of his clients, and how their thematic karmic threads interweave across their multiple lifetimes, especially in regard to relationships with specific karmically important individuals, eg. people such as family, friends, colleagues, enemies, girlfriends/boyfriends, hubby/wifey, etc that you find yourself karmically linked to and interacting with, positively or negatively, lifetime after lifetime), which is one of the many books included in the set, download link below.

(* There are exceptions, and 'security clearance levels', and some information which may karmically interfere with one's existential program or life plan, may not be permitted to be revealed to the individual and hence will be withheld from the psychic doing the reading, by the guides & helpers overseeing the process).
