n S-man for Islamist radicalization broke into a synagogue in the 15th arrondissement in Paris on Thursday at around 12.45 p.m., says a police source. Once inside, he began to pray in Arabic and recite the Koran. He had already entered the place of worship earlier in the morning.
After control, he is listed in the file of wanted persons (FPR) as "individual in connection with the Islamist movement of Ile-de-France likely to travel to a foreign country", a fact sheet issued by the Directorate of Intelligence of the Prefecture of Police (DRPP) in 2019, says a police source.
The synagogue was inspected and no suspicious objects were found. Its manager reserves the right to lodge a complaint. The author had already been checked on 9 December while praying in front of the Israeli Embassy in Paris. The Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office has not yet replied by Current Values.
