You can't make this up. Below is his current appointments. Reminds me of the PAP MP who listed 90 current appointments and made to look like a fool.

Clearly this guy has a huge chip on his shoulder, possibly an attention whore, narcissist or has some kind personality disorder. I have no clue how he can possible represent his voters. I would not even have him to meet my medical needs as there is not way that he can provide quality care or attention with all these concurrent responsiblities.

Thank god Singapore does not have a Space Programme or else he would be a volunteer astronaut or member of the Space Medical Team, voluntary of course.

PAP probably chose him because he would not have the time to have an affair or do Mango Tweets.

I wouldn't want to be his patient as it is unlikely that he will time to provide top-notch care.

Contrast that with Png Eng Huat, candidate for The recent Hougang By Election and duely elected as MP in the present.

He is no dude or hunk.

His oratory and strategic sense roundly criticised by Goh Meng Seng whose own brain in his own opinion exceeds his own gift of the garb as evidenced on CNA.

Even Meng Seng and his proverbial NUS Econs 2nd Class Uppers pale into insignificance compared to Doctor Koh.

So What ?

Yet, Spore and the world at large put great store in resumes and long list of credentials of which Dr Koh is most 'impressive'. His breadth of involvement may even exceed Current Defence Minister Dr Ng En Hen whether in ECAs or professional appointments.

Up to a point, as Scroo pointed out: such overkill become turnoffs - with due respect to Dr Koh who before today, most Singaporeans know nothing of him unless you are in the medical profession or had your arsehole examined by him before.

My point is: I am voing for an MP - someone who can win my heart and mind and who can relate to ground and national issues.

Half of the list pertains to his medical and professional appointments. gee, good for him, I don't give a shit.

RCs / CERT etc probably show he is an active citizen not anti establishment. even that, I am nonplussed - with his professional standing, as long as he volunteers, these organizations' mindset is wow! Caught durian, involve/ appoint him and man, we can bask in napping some out of the ordinary talent.

I would be more impressed if he has volunteered in some social / charity service.

i await to hear more from him as I have missed all televised recordings on him.

Till then, as an average Joe in the street, methinks Dr Koh looks good on paper and fits the supercomputer selection bias of PAP over the years.

Hopefully not another Kanina type of souless technocrat.

Notice NOBODY the PAP has inducted from the private sector come from notable corporate / MNC backgrounds these days.
Not since the likes of Shell's wonder pair Dr Richard Hu and Mr Peter Chen.
It is certainly worthy of further musing on this point.

ok, snap election called.

Let the hustlings begin !

The PAPIB sourpusses would probably say we couldn't afford him anyway! Haha quite true and thank God !

Excellent post. I think you speak for many of us.

Really multi-pupose. He just joined the PAP 20 days ago. Talk about vision. Looks like they have no faith in this elections.

As the saying goes, MAN OF ALL TRADES IS MASTER OF NONE. Ponggol Residents are putting their risk on this man who is none the master.
He simply wanted to build his profile and appear very important. I have no respect for attention whore.

If he devotes 1 hour a day to each position, he only has one hour to sleep. So when he becomes MP how? BTW, anyone here of research done with 1 hour effort a day?

Scroobal,

Dont play play. He is the Son of Ponggol.

Wonder if his childhood neighbour happened to be Ong Ye Kung.

Ya, everyone is the son and and daughter of the contesting town. Who's next? I am the cousin of Woodland, the spouse of Marine Parade or the godson of geylang? Spare us the trauma and vote out the SON of PAP bitch. Town council fees will increase in Ponggol East if PAP take over again and there will be many more price hikes during the budget speech. Stay tune.

Unfortunately smallfolk are known to be easily impressed with medical doctors. It is still so today. Elitism is alive and well, more prevalent than ever with the vast difference in household wealth.

Yes and No lah. While it's true that many are still won over by such credentials, more have also begun to regard any PAP candidate as just another LKY clone who think, speak and act alike. This shift is likely to be a permanent trend and while it may not be enough to cause the PAP to lose in Punggol East, it will definitely feature in GE 2016, after all, it had already caused quite an impact at the last GE, PE and Hougang BE.

For better or worse, but there is not likely ever to be someone quite like Mister Lee in the PAP.

Dr Koh P K reminded me of the other ex-PAP MP Dr Koh Lam Soon, who "run road" long ago after he screwed up the many heavy responsibilities he held,I have heard he is now in Australia.wonder whether Dr Koh PK has better luck!
