...No newspaper has reported on any corrupt ways used by the PAP. They won elections based on the citizen's choice. Their salaries have been legitimately approved by the courts. And all the institutions in Peesai work. And most visitors to Singapore are impressed by what they see. And the Straits Times attribute all the success in Singapore to good leadership. When assessing the political situation in sinkie land, one has to look at the assessment critically to get a good analysis.

Election is fair. True. This is the pride of LKY which is well known to the world. It is part of the respect that he earned from the world leaders.

Look at it again and you find the GRC system is a part of this electioneering process. Why the GRC? What is the real purpose of the GRC? In the free world, there is no such thing like the GRC.

To ensure the minority race gets a chance to enter Parliament in sinkie land? In Malaysia, the oppo parties put up Chinese candidates, a minority race, in Melayu areas, they were still elected by the Melayu voters in one-to-one contest. Why not the same kind of one-to-one contest in sinkie land?

In the past in the 1960s, Melayu papee candidates were elected by the Chinese too. They did not vote for the Chinese oppo parties' candidates.

Would the papees dismantle the GRC? They had already scaled down the number in each GRC team. Let the papees suffer the loss of three or more GRC in GE2016 and the death knell of the GRC system will be sounded after GE2016.

Before the pro-pappy dumbfucks harp on the quality of opposition, look first at the quality of the folks in the PAP camp: Michael Palmer, Intan, Wong Kan Seng, Lui Tuck Yew... I can go on and on but you get the idea.

Looking at the GE11 results of various parties, SDP only get an average of 35%, NSP fared abit better whereas better organised WP got around 47%. It only goes to show angers on the ground can only bring u to a certain level in the sub 40% region hardly enough to threaten PAP. To hit past 50% mark would still very much depend on how good you are rather than how sore the ground sentiment is.

Judging by the ground sentiment, I don't think it going to be worse than GE11 but the state of various non WP opposition is rather worrying. WP will continue to perform well but have more reservation for the rest.

Simple, if they become as corrupted & self serving as as the current PAP, then vote out after 5 years. LKY was permitted to corrupt the system because he was in there for too long. What Spore needs are term limits e.g. in the US the President can only serve 2 terms.
