Town Councils manage HDB estates , especially collecting Conservancy Fees which paramount to TCs survival. So you see, relevant software that provide information about HDB leasers is also vital to TCs. Without which, you go back to the jungle and find your way out.
People want to know what is AIM for if it is not for profit becos Town Councils can run estates without AIM right !
The topic is about AIM, question is what is AIM for at the TC door ?


Talking about WP and its Management. Akin to all Private estates, they need MA to run efficiently the estate.
The price of Management Agents varies from services to services, depending on how they are delegated to their responsibilities.
People say those living at WP constituency realize that their HDB lifts and lobbies are mopped every day.
Refuse Chutes are flushing weekly with consistency . And common corridors are swept everyday.
But the bottomline is those live at WP constituency do not see their conservancy fee raised .
For example –3 room flat under PAP TC is $40, 3 room flat under WP TC is only $37 per month.
Many people say flats under PAP Town councils have cleanliness issues, one cleaner takes care of many blocks of flats, and cleaning schedules are not able to follow. Their supervisors hardly check the ground. At their void-deck notice-board, PAP TCs proudly put up conservancy cleaning work schedules but have no manpower to do it, only when complaint hit the TC then they act .

People say—ask those who live at PAP wards , how smelly is the refuse chute, how often they clean your refuse chutes and fog the refuse chutes?

AIM and Management Agent are separate issues that cannot mix.
In the eyes of the people, AIM can exist but also need not to exist with TCs, but MA is vital to TC so costs of running estate can be monitored. And some Management agents are real experts.
Management agent is all about jobs delegation and how much the fee is all about.
More responsibilities, more jobs, of course, you need to pay more.
WP needs a reliable MA they feel trustworthy to handle the estate because cleanliness and estate issues not handled in good manner may spell problems.
And we all know, many voters also look at drains and lift lobbies and void decks cleanliness to cast votes right.
IN private estates, the council members can find cheap MA, but the security guards would sleep their nights away at your stoop .


So you see, all in all, people say Aim and MA are different stories to listen, people are not diverted.
If you talk about MA, then a host of duties, the area of responsibilities and cleaning schedules and maintenance issues are all inclusive right ! This is a long story compare to AIM.

Lastly , the people think that, to point at our MP, Ms Sylvia Lim for being a newbie in the parliament is like a personal attack , then why not close down the parliament if new MP cannot raise questions? .
Let say, If people can ask Ah Khaw whether he had served NS to becoming citizen and eventually a Minister, how would he feel right ?

In all respect, we should understand what is black and what is white right! Lets not talk so many separate things together. The story is about AIM.

Yes, AIM and Management Agents are not related issues . One existence is negligible , another one ensures TCs survival however political by nature it is.

For AIM, that is only one question to answer.

For MA, it is a professional job, price cannot determine good or bad.

But the final outcome, WP TC does not raise conservancy fee , this is indeed the moment of truth, as you say--the bottomline good for the residents.

Ah Cow also not shame. He said so many PAP MPs have been there serving the people as patriots and not only SL, and for longer. I say, serving themselves, playing politics, instead of depoliticising estate management all these years. Wtf? Patriots, jit kee lan jiao.

Sounds ridiculous talking about MA fee issue in the tit-for-tat .WP TC has the right to offer to reliable MA it trusts.
My friends, MA you know, not looking for pretty whore to squirt !

Who is stopping PAP TC to use its own people helming any MA?

The public interest is about AIM existence within the TCs if the findings show there is no misuse of funds. Then what is AIM for at the TC doorstep ?

It is true, lets play gentleman ! Don't tell us other non-related tales !

Let's aim for another opposition to win GRC and bring this AIM's episode to a whole new level again. Khaw Boon Wan's may try to cover the wound of AIM but only another GRC by opposition will re-open the wound. It will never go away.
