why cant the state fund her hobbies?in australia,old people board the shuttle bus everyday to burstwood and crown casino to play slots and enjoy a free buffet at and socialise with one another over some slots or blackjack or poker.she is not some strapping young twenty year old going out to work and a career to fund her hobbies and stock market portfolio and holidays in switzerland and pursue her american/singaporean dream.

Such a welfare system can only work if there are around 20 working adults to support one elderly parasite on pension. It no longer works in an aging society, where there are much fewer younger workers and a heck lot more elderly. So, burst your own bubble of a fat pension. If you want it, then build it yourself or go back in time to the 1950s.

We are all slave to our work,work is what cleanses our soul,work will set us free,like the gate says at auswitch and dachau concentration labour camp.we are prisoners of the physical world and the mortal flesh.it is only through hard work will we find redemption of our mortal soul.but the daft stupid are a different kind of slave.they are slaves to the crack cocaine,they are slaves of the mind,slaves to the matrix,slaves to their own stupidity.

Yes, we are slaves to work, we were created to work, the point is, at a certain time of our life, we should be entitle to a period of rest; not work till we die....that's the point; unless of course, one is well provided for, financially etc...if I am that..I will work till I am 100 or 101...

It is quite disheartening not sad or poor thing, to see elderly folks, one I saw bent over, sweeping the bus interchange, one shuffling slowly in a food court clearing the tables....it is not feeling sad for these folks or feeling "poor thing"...but very disheartening. Though, we may argue, the old saying is "work is noble" & working keeps the mind, body & soul in balance....but shouldn't these folks have a better time, than "bent over" "shuffling along" working??

That's the point....but thanks to the 70%...we endorses that!..we can't complain, & should not...WE DESERVE IT...the younger voters TAKE NOTE....THAT IS YOUR FUTURE!!
