This Ground Zero column was meant to be about the Pioneer Generation Package, unveiled by the Government to help those 65 years and older with their health-care expenses. Or so my editors and I had planned.

But as this columnist wandered the heartlands and spoke to retirees, talk invariably turned to the tension between Indonesia and Singapore.

This spin is getting out of hand and downright ridiculous. Stop attempting to score patriotic points and stir the diplomatic hornet's nest.
 
The Indons just need to move one of their naval fleet to Batam and that will put some fright into the PAP goondus.
 
I didn't know our 'aunties and uncles' are so concerned about SEA geopolitics. lol
