Ang Wei Neng, MP for Jurong GRC, suggested that the Ministry of Education should send Singaporeans on compulsory trips to poor communities in neighbouring countries in order to show them how lucky they are to live in Singapore.

Mr Ang believes that such a trip, although it may be expensive, would be “money well spent” because it will generate “a wind of gratitude”.

Not a difficult thing to do. Sinkieland surrounded by poor countries.but some may decide not to come back.

Yeah, after they go to a poor neighbouring country, and find out that a nice used car cost only $10,000, a prostitute costs $20, a good meal with seafood costs $10, a nice condo on a seaside town cost $100K, and that school children there don't have to study like shit, they will not come back. What a brilliant suggestion.

This is a real maggot. Those countries are not poor, they just have a lower cost of living. Our cabinet ministers and PAP MPs should visit these countries more and find out how they can achieve lower cost of living, and also see how lucky idiots like him are when we are paying him $16,000 a month to spew rubbish.

It is easier to talk big in this little island. Can all these MPs manage in bigger size country with low pay? I suggest we send any of them to America to run a state for a tenth of their salary. They will be shot in the head before they even finish their term there for talking big and doing nothing.
