What a masterful display of the command of the Chinese language by Ong Ye Kung. Didn’t think much of him before this debate, but he has soundly rebutted the points by the 2 oppo clowns. The oppo clowns can’t even piece a complete sentence without stuttering or looking at the tablet.

the Opposition Chinese standard is appalling. from Channel 8 news clips, many of them struggled to speak Chinese, just several sentences but keep stuttering. they can really have a simple Chinese conversation with Chinese speaking only seniors ? they can't get their votes if they don't understand what they are saying. most PAP Chinese mps Chinese standard are ok.

Don't be fooled! Doesn't mean speaking well in Mandarin on TV means problems are solved! Ask OYK to speak Cantonese if he's that effective..
The seniors in Singapore are majority dialect speakers namely Cantonese n Hokkien. Most are not that efficient in Mandarin.
