Mr Ang is an MP for West Coast GRC and has spoken regularly about transport issues in Parliament.

SINGAPORE - In a rare move, ComfortDelGro stalwart Ang Wei Neng will be defecting to rival SMRT.

Mr Ang, 54, has resigned as chief executive of ComfortDelGro's taxi division, and is currently serving notice till April 1.

ComfortDelgro staff, from rank-and-file to CEO, are expected to not join the rival SMRT company. It's no different from the schoolboy rivalries we had when we were young. This MP's name will go down in infamy in the halls of Comfort Delgro.
