This is infuriating to say the least !

They increase and increase their salary and laterally they increase and increase the age whereby we ordinary citizens can withraw OUR own blood and sweat CPF money !!

The withdrawal age has remained at 55. There has been no change at all. Only a small sum needs to be retained for those who have not been financially disciplined enough to accumulate more than the minimum sum after 4 decades of work. You can't blame the PAP for that. It is the fault of the individual.

anyone can make a lot of money since policemen wore shorts. nothing new about that. what's new is declining mobility.

1. Studies have also found "a clear negative relationship" between income inequality and intergenerational mobility.[15 The Great Gatsby Curve Paul Krugman| 15 January 2012] Countries with low levels of inequality such as Denmark, Norway and Finland had some of the greatest mobility, while the two countries with the high level of inequality -- Chile and Brazil—had some of the lowest mobility. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_mobility

2. Declining wage growth
For full-time employed residents, growth in the median gross monthly income from work (including employer CPF contributions) over 2002-2012 and 1996-2002 was 1.3% p.a. and 2.7% p.a. respectively. The equivalent figures at the 20th percentile from 2002-2012 and 1996- 2002 were 0.1% p.a. and 2.2% p.a. respectively. These figures are in real terms, i.e. after adjusting for inflation. They do not take into account Government transfers such as Workfare Income Supplement payouts that Singaporeans may have received during these periods. - See more at: http://app.msf.gov.sg/Press-Room/Social-mobility-in-Singapore#sthash.r1OSrk2S.dpuf

That's rubbish. Society has never been more mobile. Anyone can make a lot of money if they set their minds to it.

There's no need for mobility in the nordic countries because a bus driver and an engineer earn almost the same salary so moving up in society is easy.

In countries such as brazil, it takes more effort which ensures that only the deserving are rewarded.

It's the normal 20/80 rule that governs many aspects of life. You cannot blame the PAP for that. It's the natural order of things.

It is up to those in the 80% to strive to reclassify themselves to be part of the 20% while displacing someone from that bracket in process.

If the daft Sinkie had not been so daft for 40 over decades, these 80% you are referring to would have reclassify themselves by voting the PAP out and displaced the white scums in the process.

So in short, these daft SINKIE DESERVED WHAT THEY HAD VOTED FOR...PERIOD.

but they also tax citizens a hell lot.

Don't you read? I have explained in previous posts on this thread how the tax dollars are being used. If you need to pay out of pocket for these services/insurance - if they are even available for purchase - it would cost a bomb.

For your sake, I shall repeat again.

The taxes go to fund (1) health care - you pay nothing when using the service, includes medicine; (2) child care (3) education - from kinder to university (4) unemployment insurance - paying 90 percent of salary for 2 years and (5) pension.

That's why the Danes are the happiest people in the world. They can focus on living life instead of worrying about this and that.

Why bother getting into a rat race when you can live a care-free life by paying taxes? Middle-class lifestyle is attainable for all if the government plays a role.

so is temasek with its charity arm greasing the gears of south east asia.

Sinkapore has a bad reputation in Asia - they know that sinkapore never does anything out of charity. That's why sinkapore help is not requested and accepted only when sinkapore offers with no string attached.

There is something seriously wrong with a society where even the most lazy and useless scum can enjoy a comfortable middle class existence.

It would be like an exam system where it didn't make a scrap of difference what your IQ is or whether you bothered to make any effort. The most brainy would end up with the same results as the retards.

the most lazy and useless deserve to languish in the bottom 20%. we are talking about the rest.
