same shit happens at google cafeterias during peak hours before pandamic. some of their tray and cutlery return stations have conveyor belts, and they can’t keep up resulting in messy pile ups at those stations. for stations with shelf-holes, worse. it’s a busy-hour problem much like how mobile operators face sexcept that this is a physical phenomenon and cannot be solved by software and algorithm tweaks. can hire more part time sorters and washers for peak hour and pay them more for the short but stressful time of work.
