Fear mongering is a long-standing PAP political narrative emphasising S'pore's vulnerability such as a lack of natural resources, small size and the notion that our survival depends entirely on maintaining the uninterrupted governance of the ruling party. The irony is that past PMs like Goh Chok Tong accused the Opposition of only being interested in plundering S'pore's reserves, but the PAP has been the govt that has been doing all the plundering to date through all manner of unreasonable direct and indirect taxation.

PAP leaders are extremely insecure so they suppress dissent within their party, resulting in entrenched "groupthink". This strict party discipline eliminates diverse internal perspectives, leading to an echo chamber where the Cabinet becomes rigid and out of touch.

Even in the age of social media, the PAP is still trying tp control the media and using POFMA to strictly manage narratives. The govt behaves like a troll by attacking critics or dissenters and labeling S'poreans who dare speak out for their long suffering countrymen as "foreign-influenced".

The continued use of the CIMO classification is an obvious attempt to divide and rule. This PAP tactic is a classic Sun Tze tactic in "The Art of War" to exploit socio-economic class and racial division to maintain political control. The govt does not want one united people, fearing that we will rise up against our authoritarian leaders.

The govt justifies elitism through its brand of meritocracy and maintains obscenely high ministerial salaries which is nothing but "legalised corruption" where loads of money are deposited into ministers' bank accounts monthly, thereby eliminating the need to steal public funds.
