If old man kick the bucket and his son step down, this can signal a milestone change in PAP. The change is like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates stepping down. People here may say no change, still PAP wat! But it's a chance for somebody who is not a Lee to make his mark... And also he doesn't have another Lee waiting in the wings!

The only thing that can screw things up and they cannot control is the WP. That's why they r attacking the WP now to ensure they contain them and don't allow them to expand. Think if they can limit WP/Opp to one GRC - mission accomplished!

Judging from the rhetoric/approach taken recently by the likes of CCS, KBW, SS, HSK, DL, LW etc ( i.e both older and newer MPs ) the PAP will not change. The DNA is too ingrained....only if there is a complete split and a new splinter party taking power will there be a change.

U guys never study history and how leadership change especially with iconic charismatic leader stepping down. When they r still around nothing will change. But when they r gone, the new guy will start to be his own man. But it will take time.

Absolutely spot on. Deterring high flyers from joining the WP is the main objective.
