Singaporeans are known to be hardworking and have been often voted as one of the most hardworking workforce. Why are the PAP and the SNEF toothless that they have to urge employers in SG to have a singaporean core workforce? No other country has to urge employers to employ their citizens.

Who gave the employers the right to employ foreigners? It's the pap!!! All it takes is not to grant employment permit and the employers have to employ Singaporeans. No need for the pap to urge employers to employ Singaporeans. All the pap needs to do is only grant employment passes to foreigners who come in when no Singaporeans can do the job. Dont grant permits to just cheap but unskilled foreign labour!

So, pap, just do your job as the govt of Singapore. Dont shirk your responsibility to Singaporeans!

Singaporeans do form the core. If others can do the job for less, why hire Singaporeans once the quota is avialable?
