Cheng Wan-kwun, 29, is sentenced to 54 months in jail by a District Court judge for 11 child sex-related charges.
A tutor who molested four girls, asked to have sex with one of them and watched child pornography featuring one-year-old babies was sentenced to 54 months in jail by the District Court on Thursday.
Cheng Wan-kwun, 29, molested four of his female students aged eight to nine at a tutorial centre in To Kwa Wan by touching their thighs and hips on multiple occasions in the classroom last year, the court heard.
In a letter to one of the girls, he wrote: "This week is my birthday. Even though you are only nine, I really love you. I really want to make love to you, so you can have a baby of ours! Can you satisfy my birthday wish? Would you be my wifey piggie?"
He was arrested after the girl told her father about his request.
Police found at his home a laptop containing 4,460 photos and 215 videos of child porn, the youngest victims around one-year-old and many others younger than five.
The tutor earlier pleaded guilty to eleven child sex-related charges, including one of indecent assault for the letter and one of possessing child porn material.
In sentencing on Thursday, Judge Johnny Chan described Cheng as "a huge threat to children in society". He said Cheng’s behaviour was serious because he was the four girls' teacher and the offences took place in the classroom.
Chan also said the sentence reflected the large number of category III and IV porn Cheng possessed and the extremely young age of the children shown.
"What kind of sick people would watch babies being assaulted?” Chan said.
Cheng admitted he had been downloading child porn since 2007 and watching twice a week on average.
The court heard that when he "gently slapped" the hips of his victims, it was not in secret but in front of two colleagues. The defence argued that this was proof he was not in control of his own behaviour.
Chan rejected the argument and said there were many things he could have done to help himself, such as finding a job at an elderly care centre and staying away from children.
The court heard Cheng had worked as a tutor since 2008.
Psychologist and psychiatrist reports found Cheng had pedophiliac tendencies with medium to high chances of repeating similar offences.
Cheng claimed he saw his parents have sex when he was one and that was the root of his problem.
