Singapore's China import table tennis doubles team has lost to China's team at the Asian Games to secure the bronze medal.
The Singapore team, Gao Ning and Li Hu, lost to China's Xu Xin and Fan Zhendong in the semi-final match with a score of 1 game to 4.
Similarly, for the women's team made of Fen Tianwei, Lin Ye and Zhou Yihan, Singapore also claimed bronze, losing to the Japan team in the semi finals on Monday.
With these, Singapore now has 12 bronze medals.
It is no surprise that the Singapore men's team lost to China's team as Singapore likes to import the China B team to represent Singapore.
How can the China B team hope to win the China A team? It seems that despite Singapore 'buying' talents, we still need to settle for second rate talents while claiming to be using them to "nurture local talent".
What do you think?
