The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) today announced board appointment changes at JTC Corporation (JTC) and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). The appointments at JTC will take effect from 30 July 2013, while the appointments at EDB will take effect from 1 August 2013.

JTC CORPORATION (JTC)

MTI has appointed three new members to the board of JTC Corporation (JTC).

New Board Members

Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Chee Meng, Chief of Defence Force, Ministry of Defence

Ms Jessie Yeo Hong Cheng, Director, Union Centric and Executive Secretary, Metal Industries Workers' Union (MIWU)

Mr Ngiam Shih Chun, Deputy Secretary (Industry), Ministry of Trade & Industry

SINGAPORE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BOARD (EDB)

Two new members have been appointed by MTI for the board of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

New Board Members

Mr Toru Shimada, Director and Senior Executive Officer CMO, Rakuten Inc. & Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Rakuten Asia Pte Ltd

Mr Gregory Lee, President & CEO, Samsung Telecommunications America
