[h=1]Opposition Parties crushed PAP’s hopes for 3-corner fights[/h]admin / 17 hours ago August 3, 2015
According to a reliable anonymous source present at the meeting last night, opposition parties have resolved 3-corner fights and will be meeting again this Thursday (August 6) to finalise the talks and pick the best Opposition candidates to contest the ruling People’s Action Party.

The Singapore People’s Party (SPP) and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) were revealed to have avoided 3-corner fights in Potong Pasir SMC, Mountbatten SMC, Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC and Hong Kah SMC. The People’s Power Party Goh Meng Seng has also revealed that they will go to Chua Chu Kang GRC and leave Tampines GRC to the National Solidarity Party (NSP). For SPP and DPP, they will even join forces to contest Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC.
On Thursday, the Reform Party (RP) and DPP will resolve Tanjong Pagar GRC, and the Singaporeans First Party will resolve with NSP over Tampines GRC.
The resolution of all 3-corner fights is seen as a major development for Opposition parties but this news have been blacked out by the government-controlled media. Disunity has always been a problem with Singapore Opposition but it appears this time round they have made things right.
In the meantime, the ruling PAP party is trying to woo votes by giving reduced public transport fares, 24-hour kopitiams, cheap food and more HDB lift upgradings. However, infrastructural problems like housing prices, overcrowding, cost of living and lack of employment opportunities due to influx of foreigners remain unsolved. The ruling PAP is likely to see their worst ever electoral result but many remain unconvinced the PAP can be unseated from government.
