資歷逾10年 剛升職警長
被捕姓劉警長，入職警隊超過十年，原駐守新界北總區交通部，今年一月初擢升為警長，調往上水分區巡邏小隊。由於他高大有型，一五年時曾為警隊拍攝招募日的廣告。消息指，劉疑在儲物櫃偷去一名男警的信用卡「碌咗九次」，事主發現信用卡被盜後「Cut卡」及報警，之後再申請另一張信用卡。不過，事主後來出外旅遊，再次發現可疑交易，始發現「原來銀包內嘅新卡被人換咗自己之前唔見嘅舊卡」，事主思疑「肯定係自己人做」，於是再度報警。
疑趁事主開櫃偷記密碼
據了解，被捕警長與事主分屬好友，二人原本同樣是駐守新界北交通部。事主去年年底已發現信用卡月結單出現多次飲食及購物等可疑簽帳交易，於是把原來的信用卡取消、報警及向發卡銀行申請新卡。消息指，近日事主離港旅遊期間，發現新卡再次出現可疑簽帳，經查問銀行後，竟發現新卡又被盜用簽帳購買了兩部iPhone。事主檢查銀包內的信用卡，果然被人「偷龍轉鳳」換上被取消的舊卡。
有指事主曾把個人財物放入警署內有上鎖的儲物櫃，懷疑偷換信用卡一事是在警署內發生，於是再度報警。警方接報後即時展開深入調查，翻查閉路電視後，鎖定目標人物，前日把涉案警長拘捕，不排除有人趁同袍使用儲物櫃時在旁偷看並記下對方的密碼鎖密碼，再伺機開櫃「換卡」。
警方：非常重視人員操守
警方發言人昨證實，一名男警務人員早前報案，指其信用卡不見了，其後發現信用卡有數宗可疑交易，警方經初步調查後，前日在大埔區拘捕一名卅三歲姓劉男警務人員，涉嫌盜竊及以欺騙手段取得財產。被捕男子已獲准保釋候查，四月下旬向警方報到。警方續指，警隊非常重視人員的操守，任何人員干犯違法行為，警隊絕不容忍和姑息，定必嚴正處理，進行刑事調查及紀律覆檢。
