And why should I, or anyone, be quiet about it? To make others feel better or more adequate? Sorry, not my duty. I say whatever I want to. You should and can too.
Bravo for you. I am not as hardcore and have done nothing as great as you as i only encountered 1 bloody case in the line of duty but here are my bloody encounters since i was a kid until now:
Saw a neighbour drown a little pup and then cut off the head and limbs to make his favourite stew.
I have seen a headless Indian man and all the blood he left behind at the void deck of Blk 3 Jalan Bukit Merah
when i was still in kindergarden.
My mum pushed me against a sink and i had a scar on my face as i pushed the wound in too hard and tore it
I fell down once in Sec 1 and had a long gash on a limb, i could see the bone as the stuff inside fell out and i had to
clean and push it in myself before going to the doctors to stitch. I have more than a few scars throughout my body, 2 of them i stitched myself.
Another time, after another accidental(i am accident prone when i was young) injury, I woke up halfway during a major operations on my limbs and saw them workng on the bones. Yet another time i saw them taking the metal plate and screws out. I asked the doctor to let me keep the plate and
screws and smiled when he assured me anxiously he definitely would. I had 6 major ops and woke up in 2 and 5 where nothing was given to me during the op and stitching. I still prefer stapling to stitching until today.
I was there when they were cleaning up suicide case with gun shot wound to the head.
I helped my wife with giving birth to my child and had to help the doctor open up the legs and even when
he had to cut through for easier access for birth process.
