There are 5 types of Casino gamblers.
1. After a fine dining with friends at a private club, we decided to retire to a drawing room, to chill, discuss & play some card games. We started off with Blackjack. After a few rounds, we realize one of our friends - John, was winning every round. We knew him to be an honest strait laced guy, whom don't even know how to play cards & he doesn't even buy 4d. We continued on, from 9pm till 4am at the club.
He won EVERY round, & he was even surprised & embarrassed, & at several times wanted to stop the game, but we were amazed, astonished & astounded as we did not believe any Human would have such 'LUCK', urged him to play on. By 4am, with our wallets & pockets cleaned out by him, we decided to call it a day. It was a humbling lesson for us. The next time when we met up, he jokingly told us to continue the card play, but none of us dared to take him on, only to make excuses such as to pick up kids from school, overtime at work, etc, etc.
He is someone different & seemed to imbued with very very rare unfathomable 'LUCK'. He is a type 1 so called gambler, as he is the kind whom doesn't even gamble.
2. The second type of gambler is someone whom had played every type of card game known. He has great intuition with the 52 cards learnt & gained from exposure with card games, & could even tell which card someone holds by memorizing how a card was rejected or collected another. He is cold, clinical & methodical. He knows when to hold or throw, or walk away. This is a professional gambler, & at times even hired by others with deep pockets & he collects a commission.
3. This third type is the observant gambler. He would spent long hours in a Casino, to observe BOTH players & dealers for their 'bad or good hand' moments, calculate the odds & then strike by joining a table to win, as no player or dealer can possibly be able to win every round except the rare. Thru his observations, he may even bet against a losing hand player, by simply placing bets on numbers or cards that the losing player had placed on...
4. This fourth type is merely a recreational player, with a clear budget & target earnings in mind, regardless if he wins or loses, & he only plays with money that he can afford to lose.
5. This fifth type is not a gambler but a loser, the very opposite of type 2 player. He presumes he knows the card games well, take huge risks & does not walk away even if he lost every round. He is the type that supports the casino industry & intelligent players, as MOST fall into this category.
For money launderers, the Casino is one of the best places to launder illicit money. With just a mere $1000, he can walk away with $100,000 after a night spent there. However, no one is that lucky. What he does is to observe - A Type 3 player. What matters to him is not the $1000 spent, but the $100,000 gained as the Casino would give him receipts for the money won. With these receipts, he can verify to all legally that he won his money at the Casino & is clean & LEGITIMATE.
Even more insidious, illicit money can be exchanged in the gambling halls of a Casino. Cash is converted into chips there. One can walk in with a mere $100 worth of chips & walk out with $100,000 worth of chips, without even playing a game, simply passing of chips from someone who needs money to be laundered to the one who does the laundry work, & chips exchanged for official cash/cheque from the Casino & is deemed LEGITIMATE.
However, the down side of this method is that there are cameras everywhere, & Casinos too know such games. Should someone REGULARLY walks out with a large amount of funds, the mgmt would take notice......
