I used to think that the PAP would always talk to students and grassroots people who had no clue as to what was going on in Singapore, but today was indeed an eye-opener for me
When student Mr.Seah Yin Hwa posed the question to PM Lee on why PAP wards have upgrading and why non-PAP wards don¡¯t have upgrading and his rhetoric to PM Lee on whether he could pay less taxes and do less national service, it was indeed a stunning indication of how intelligent and vocal Singaporeans are.
Now this is a citizen who has awoken the sleeping masses, and I hope many young citizens alike will take back what¡¯s rightfully yours as a citizen, and answer the call of duty to vote for the opposition to ensure we have accountability and transparency.
As citizens we are the stake holders of this country, and we pay our ministers their salary, but it¡¯s funny why upgrading is tied to the elections?
The next funny thing is that the GRC was carved out by the electoral boundaries committee and is approved by a PAP member and that is PM Lee, is this fair at all?
The next one is that if PAP won 66% of votes in the last election, how come there are only 2 opposition parties in parliament?
So now Singaporeans can see what kind of democracy we have and why the PAP will always say that it won¡¯t work for Singapore to have a 2 party system. In reality the PAP is afraid that a 2 party system will not work for the PAP, but it will surely work for Singaporeans.
With the elections coming soon, Singaporeans need to do their part by asking questions and scrutinizing the PAP¡¯s actions. To deal with the PAP¡¯s lack of accountability and transparency, Singaporeans need to vote in more opposition into parliament.
Vote for change, vote for the opposition, because a vote for the opposition is a vote for you and me!
Once again Mr. Seah Yin Hwa, you made my day!
You have opened the eyes of millions of Singaporean NS men!
Cheers
