It’s been two weeks.
The nursing staff at the care centre was increasingly concerned.
They made a police report.
He was found in a state of decomposition in his home at Block 196 Kim Keat Avenue.
It was a few days before the Chinese New Year.
He was known to have mobility issues and suffer from a heart condition, though his exact medical condition was not clear.
He tends to keep to himself and seldom speaks to his neighbours.
When the police arrived, they had to remove a large quantity of miscellaneous items, including storage shelves, cardboard boxes, plastic buckets and empty beverage cans from the unit.
He lives alone, and in his last moments, he breathed his last in solitude.
Rest in peace, Uncle!
