I still have the Minolta, European Camera of the year. On a visit to SG in mid 1980's, I paid about $700

The X-700 was the longest running production camera. Reliability plagued the camera due to inferior capacitors used.

Luxman was also a long-gone luxury brand with top-notch construction. It still exists but no longer the same as before.
