Old and unfit security guards in Singapore

Why Singapore security guards are not required to pass IPPT test ?

It's just a person in uniform making the twits at a mall or condo feel safer, like they belong to some exclusive gated community.

They're not bodyguards. More like psychological props.

Actually no need security guards lah. Most Singaporeans are timid and ballsless.
They will usually follow instructions/orders and salute the cardboard policemen.

Recently I realise that there are many old and physically unfit working as security guards in Singapore.

I find this extremely bizarre. Working as security guards and not being fit ?

I saw with my own eyes that the security guards are immobile and siting on electric wheel chair !!!

how is that possible ?

Similar to farmers putting a scarecrow on a rice field because the residents cannot afford a Gurkha.

You only need a walkie talkie to be a security guard. Any suspicious activity, just report to the partner or central office for back up or police assistance. No need to risk your life to nab the culprit.
