CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's Suez Canal has been operating as usual during protests that have swept the country over the past six days, a canal official said on Sunday.

"Traffic has been running normally, with 45 to 50 ships passing through the canal per day," said Ahmed al-Manakhi, a member of the Suez Canal Authority's board of directors who is also responsible for traffic.

"The Suez has not come under any attacks, and the canal is able to manage navigation," he said.

To all who owns vehicles, it may be a good idea to keep your fuel tanks full until the crisis is over. Brent has already increased their prices amidst fear of the spillover from the Egyptian Crisis
