if this piece of land is designated to be temple or religious purposes ....and a religious organisation has indeed managed to secure the bid ad theists up shop there ....i don't think anyone would really complain all that much because they went in with their eyes open....


but what is very deceitful is that some cb commercial entity can literally appear 72 hours earlier and then walk in to secure a bid for religious land where in fact it has a purely commercial objective to sell valuable niches whilst pretending its running a fucking temple....

Very ridiculous indeed for business to run temple. A business is for profit, temple is non-profit. So difficult for PAP to understand the vital difference? Some more allow a foreign business with unknown origins to run temple is ultra ridiculous and very dangerous.

Very easy to understand. Business is for profit, temple is non-profit. Business bid for land, build and rent to temple. Business make profits, temple make losses, temple ask for donations on tv. So simple you dunno.

Actually, right now, one of the directors of Cordlife is Dr. Goh jin Hian, son of Goh Chok Tong and the twin brother of the Sarong party girl daughter who married the brit angmo and now living in London. Also, another director is a Mr. Ho Sheng. Perhaps cousin or some other relative or Ho Ching ? But Life Corp claims they are not related to Cordlife.

A not for profit religious organisation would have used the income from the columbarium to fund its charitable activities vs going to the pocket of shareholders. The role of CEO of a public company is to maximize returns for its shareholders. I can see situation where the needy cannot afford to keep their ashes in a columbarium but get their fees reduced or waived. Or a situation where a temple would use the income from columbarium to help feed the needy, pocket money for deserving students, etc etc
