Bisnis.com, SOLO – Sad news came from PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. (JPFA), the company’s President Director, Handojo Santosa, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

“On September 25, 2022, Notification of Death of the Company’s President Director,” wrote Maya Pradjono, Corporate Secretary of Japfa Comfeed, in an official statement, Monday (26/9/2022).

According to Japfa’s official website, Handojo Santosa is a 58-year-old Cypriot citizen domiciled in Singapore.

Handojo Santosa was then appointed as President Director of PT Japfa in 1997 until his death on September 25 yesterday.

Referring to this position, Handojo Santosa is responsible for leading all strategic and operational activities of Japfa.

Reporting from Idol Networth, Handojo Santosa’s net worth until 2022 is 750 million dollars (Rp 11.3 trillion).

This wealth cannot be separated from the business expansion he built after inheriting the Ometrcao Group from his father.

One of his most successful business expansions was turning the animal food company Japfa Comfeed into the second largest poultry feed producer in Indonesia.

Although his Japfa Comfeed stock has fallen by more than a third since its peak in May 2013, Handojo Santosa is still worthy enough to be ranked among the billionaires in Indonesia today.

Handojo Santosa is also active in aquaculture, the roots of this family-owned company going back to a joint venture in 1871 in the feed business with a Dutch company.

Apart from business, Santosa Handojo is an avid chess player and an active supporter of national chess through the Japfa Chess Club. With permanent residence in Singapore, he spends one month a year in England.

Handojo's father, the late tycoon Ferry Teguh Santosa, founded the diversified Ometra group in Indonesia in 1959.
It got wiped out during the 1997 financial crisis.

Handojo focused on Japfa Comfeed, which survived. In 2014,
he listed Japfa in Singapore, making Japfa Comfeed in Indonesia into a subsidiary.
