Did anyone watch the Kennedy Center Honors?
The performance by Heart was simply exhilarating.
Even President Obama pays tribute to Led Zeppelin.

actually obama got strong support from the entertainment industries in US.

The arrangement was superb and it took Zeppelin trio by surprise. At one stage you could notice Robert Plant was visibly moved by the whole set up.
Fucking great song it is !

Nice renditions and really enjoyed both songs. Thanks.:)

Fuckin brilliant!!!

A smile of approval from the Led Zep legends..

The British really make good rock bands..

Led Zepplin, FREE, Deep Purple, Bad company, Humble Pie...I wonder if Heart will ever record " Stairway to heaven:..I would certainly buy that single, if they follow the same arrangement they did on stage.

If not mistaken, the big sized drummer who performed live together with Heart on this Stairway to Heaven cover, is the son of the late Led Zep drummer..

Yes, Jason Bonham, son of John Bonham.
Strange, Keith Moon, The Who's drummer, also died rather young.

I don't think they cut the album on Stairway...stage performances and unreleased demos maybe.
If the one they did at the White House is made into disc, I will definitely go for it.

Read Led Zep autobiography when I was a student.. They were a really colourful outfit when young, lived a typical rock star lifestyle.. Booze, birds. drugs.. John Bonham choked on his own vomit that caused his death..:(

They have all migrated to US, the land of opportunity.

I remember reading of Metallica band members saying that their main musical influence when young was Black Sabbath.. Another legendary British rockers..
