OSIM salesmen refuse to answer questions unless I confirm order of new chair first

STOMPer Tng wanted to trade-in his massage chair for a newer model from OSIM. To his dismay, the salesmen serving him refused to tell him if a trade-in was possible unless he placed an order with them first.

It was only after much persistence from the sender that the salesmen relented and told him that a trade-in was not possible.

If Tng had confirmed his order earlier, he would have had to pay $2450 for the chair.

The relieved STOMPer says:

"I was at OSIM Jurong Point last friday and was very impressed with the new massage chair.

"However, as I just bought the upetti for $998 from OSIM two months ago, I wanted to know if I could trade it in and pay a lower price for the new chair.

"I also do not need two massage chairs.

"Instead, the sales guys kept asking me to confirm the order before they can ask for the trade-in as they would be taking a risk by asking their boss about it.

"I told them I could only buy the chair if the trade-in price is reasonable but they kept insisting that I should confirm the order first.

"After much debate and time spent on promoting the chair, they came back to me and told me that a trade-in was not possible".

Hahaha.
This is ludicrous.
Why did he have to be persistent?
If the salesman refused to answer the trade in question just walk away. Then see whether he chases after you.

You are right. There was a time when C&C would not allow people to test drive their Mercedes cars. "We sell on our fine reputation," they would say when you called up. Now you know why Lexus and BMW increased their market share so substantially.

Hahaha.
This is ludicrous.

Knowing ugly Sinkies, especially SInkie Stompers, this is probably what actually happened.

The salesperson said no trade-in allowed at the onset but Ugly Sinkie Customer insisted that the saleperson go and ask someone higher up, who can make an exception.

Sinkies are the ugliest ever. Why would any person want to trade in a massage chair? What possessed his pea brain to think that the company will do trade in? Who is going to buy a used massage chair? That's very gross.

The salesperson is not being professional. I had personally encounter one at Osim store who behaved like a hooligan.
