NZ Pop. 4.3 mil, 3 Olympic Medals: SGP Pop. 5.2 mil, 1 medal. Massive Fail

Many of them aren't native born either. They are South African whites who were given citizenship because of their sporting prowess. In some cases, it was fast tracked.

All nations do it. Chris Froome, the bronze medal winner in the cycling time trial, was a Kenyan till a couple of years ago.

So what you are saying is that the NZ politicians do a better job of identifying real foreign talent than singapore's. NZ medals up to 7 now, singapore still 1. Like that, I want to import NZ politicians and replace the current cocksuckers with them.

Politicians don't get involved in the process of identifying talent. It's done by the sporting bodies.

However, they do help fast track citizenship applications if a case is made for a potential star.

You would not want NZ politicians running Singapore. It would be an absolute disaster. The majority are morons.

NZ is successful, not because it has talented politicians but because the driving force comes from private individuals with a passion for what they are doing. For example, when NZ won the Americas Cup in 1995 and 2000, the whole campaign was conceptualized and funded by a group of Kiwi investment bankers.

Likewise when it comes to sports. The governing bodies are run by ex athletes and prominent individuals.

Kiwis don't wait for the government to make things happen. They take the initiative as individuals and galvanise like minded people towards achieving a vision. It's something that is sadly lacking in Singapore. Everyone just sits back and waits for the govt to helm everything.

The parents (provided they aren't Asian migrants) will provide their full support in helping him achieve his dream.

I was going to say. My friend wants his son to get into medical school in NZL. Everyday study and study. Heard his son can't play rugby and other kiwi sport. So small sized and specky, sure kena whack by the white kids in school.
