i agree

Cryptic message la. Smlj is "utterly visionary"?

Means unconventional, never tried before , neve seek advice of subject matter experts, suka suka Trump style

In a significant diplomatic and economic move, South Africa has officially suspended all U.S. business operations within its territory and ceased the export of minerals to the United States. This decision comes shortly after Trump cut all U.S. funding to South Africa, including allocations from USAID.

It is like saying that Trump has "hidden talent" that is so well-hidden that nobody notices that he has any talent at all.

These escalating tensions are expected to have considerable economic repercussions for both nations. The U.S. currently profits over $25 billion annually from its economic engagement with South Africa. This bilateral standoff represents an unprecedented instance of an African nation taking such a firm stand against the United States.

The factories overseas are mostly US owned. The multinationals prefer bigger margins than a home based restrictive US factory which gives less returns. Or none. LVMH factory in texas is less productive and shoddy workmanship.

Lower labor costs are a primary motivation for offshoring factories. This directly translates to higher profit margins compared to manufacturing in the USA, where labour costs, regulations and other operational expenses are much higher. Stricter environmental protection laws in the US will lead to higher compliance costs. Does the Trump administration really believe that blue collar jobs will really return to American soil?

Fact is these corporations make so much more if they built plants elsewhere. Plus tax free breaks.

So it's not China that is taking away blue collar jobs from America, but US corporations seeking to optimise their ops for maximum returns on investment. If manufacturing overseas offers a more favourable cost structure and higher profits, MNCs would naturally gravitate towards China and Third World countries.
