This is a letter written to Minister Heng Swee Keat about MOE turning down the application of a group of Temasek Poly students who wanted to make a film on Singapore education.
Truly fact is stranger than fiction. In Money No Enough, the civil service clerk mentioned to get ministry approval to submit in triplicate and allow 3 weeks of processing. In reality, MOE requires 3 months to reject the application. Reading parts of it, it is even funnier than Jack Neo can imagine
"What is more, when MOE finally responded, we were rejected. The reason for this was that MOE wanted to see a sample video. But we could not give them a video because we had not even produced it in the first place. We needed MOE's permission before we could proceed with our filming. So this was really an unreasonable condition that we could not have met."
Regardz.
