Dear Friends,

We are close to major victories but NUS wants to bankrupt us!
SOS. Please help. Immediate emergency $33,000.
Ongoing legal support $43,000 (Outstanding to Mr Wee Pan Lee). Once we start to win our lawsuits, we will be out of the woods. (Estimated 2-3 months, by end 2025)
PAYNOW 98291678 (Ref: SOS) or Support Book. bit.Iy/silentroarishere

If we are bankrupted by NUS, we will have problems suing freely.
Thank you all, if you can assist in any way, please reach out to us.
We MUST BE allowed to continue suing to keep our Government and CryBaby Elites in check. Please help us towards this last stretch towards impending Victory. In the meantime, my criminal trials are proceeding very fine. I believe those who are in court can attest to that.

After 4 years of immense hardship and suffering brought on by the Singapore Government, I'm still here, speaking up and fighting for everyone.

Iris Koh
Healing the Divide

Please help to share and viral.

Below the speech from our video.
---------------------------------------------------
My fellow Singaporeans, Gazy here. Together with Iris, we want to update you about some of our civil lawsuits—cases that have now attracted the attention of the Attorney-General’s Chambers. Forgive us, but we will have to read this carefully because our words are watched closely by those who may wish to sue us. Every sentence matters.

We believe no one should hide behind their phone screens to attack or defame others without cause.

We believe even the rich and powerful must be held legally accountable when they make defamatory remarks. We also believe that high-ranking officers should not be immune to justice if they step out of line.

As Singaporeans, we believe in democracy and the rule of law, and that No One is above the law.

In the past few weeks, we have taken an important step forward: filing applications to strike out the defences of those we are suing. This means their defences could be dismissed, shortening what is usually a 3–4 year process into just a few months.
Once we succeed, these rulings will set case law that others can use. In other words, our victories don’t just help us—they open the door for ordinary Singaporeans to fight back against elites who defame or attack you.

Already, in two cases, the Court has ordered the defendants to fix their defence. In striking out applications, being asked to amend means that I have won and that means that I would be awarded costs. We have more striking applications lined up now.

Also, in 1 case which I would not name, has proceeded to the stage of assessment of damages. That means, it is assumed that he has defamed me and the only matter to be determined is how much the defendant has to be responsible for.

For years, the Opposition has said the Courts were unfair, that there was “no way” to win against the elites. But now, we are turning the tide. We are no longer the ones being struck out—we are starting to strike out our opponents. And that is why some are so determined to stop us at ALL COSTS.

We must acknowledge those who, in their own way, helped us reach this stage:

1. Prof Ben Leong of NUS – By raising funds to hire lawyers against us, he forced a proper contest in Court. That gave us the chance to refine our arguments and win on the strength of facts and law.

2. The law firms representing our opponents – They are competent, and without them we could not sharpen our claims or learn the principles of striking out. However, there is only so much good lawyers can do with bad cases - they may not enjoy their experience with me.

3. NUS – National University of Singapore was my teacher when I was about 21 to 24. You would remember that we sued NUS recently for Vicacious Liability. Unfortunately, due to the complexitiy of the actions, we were struck out, but the judge ruled that we were not vexatious in taking up the actions. This case has a bitter sweet ending. The silver lining is that as a result of defending against NUS’ striking out, I learnt how to strike other people out from Top lawyers sent by NUS. I am grateful that NUS continues to be my teacher till my 50s.

The lawsuit against Calvin Cheng , represented by Lee & Lee – also helped us to understand striking out more. We have been trained by the best lawyers in town, AGC, Allen and Gledhill, Drew and Napier, Lee and Lee, Davinder Singh Chambers and more. We are honoured that they have chosen their best, usually 1st class honours lawyers to deal with us and we have learnt some of their kungfu. Thank you Shifu. We will not disappoint all of you in the road ahead.

But with progress comes resistance. The AGC is trying to declare us vexatious litigants—blocking us from suing unless we get special permission from the High Court. This strikes at the heart of checks and balances in a fair society.

At the same time, NUS is pushing bankruptcy proceedings against us. If successful, that too would silence us. Together, these moves send a chilling message.

We ask for your support. Justice is not free, and right now, we urgently need it.

NUS has served us with a statutory demand for $33,000. We need this amount quickly prerably by 3rd October to pause bankruptcy proceedings.

I also owe my lawyer, Mr Wee Pan Lee, $43,000.

We are fundraising to meet these needs. You can also support us by purchasing my book at bit.Iy/silentroarishere or Sponsor our AI Legal System so that we can quickly proceed to block the bankruptcy proceedings that NUS has meted out, We can meet up with you to discuss more.

We are very close to major victories—victories that will change not just our cases, but the future for all Singaporeans. That is why our opponents are desperate to stop us.

With your support, we will continue to fight for truth, justice, and accountability. Because no one is above the law.

Thank You.

How can a $33k bankrupt them?
Even add the debt of $43k to their lawyer Mr wee, total of 77k can bankrupt mare?

What I can offer them is for them to borrow $10k, I will help them flip it to $80k with sg pool with a flip table odds of 8.0

Why is NUS involved ? No head no tail ?

Should be the dispute between her and Associate Professor Ben Leong of NUS.

In Nov 2021, Prof Ben Leong wrote a FB post which he allegedly called Healing the Divide a “domestic terrorist organisation.”

Iris Koh has initiated defamation proceedings against Prof Leong over that remark, claiming it damaged her reputation.

Prof Leong leesponded publicly, noting the costs and burdens of such lawsuits, and has defended his right to freedom of expression in responding to misinformation.

They sent the best lawyers to face us.
Thank you for teaching us.
We have learnt and improved and no mistake is ever made a second time.
In the early days, we were struck out.
Now we endeavour to strike others out.
Lawsuit by lawsuit, case by case.
The wheels of justice turn slowly.

We trusted in the system. The same system that protected others will protect us. While the system is perfect, the people who operate them may not be. Still, we will use this same system that protected others to protect ourselves because that is the only way in a civilized society.

It is not a right that can be easily taken away and we will do what we can to protect this right, to take civil actions against anyone and any institution that violate the law.
Justice will be restored again.

Please prevent NUS from making us bankrupt so we can continue to sue anyone, regardless of background and status. To support, PAYNOW 98291678 (Ref: SOS) or support my book. bit.Iy/silentroarishere

I'm planning a post to explain why we had to sue NUS and startling info that has emerged regarding NUS, Eco Health Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. I believe Singaporeans deserve to know the truth.

Thank you,
Iris Koh

Since they think that they are gonna win most of their cases down the road, how can nus possibly make them bankrupt?
If they doesn't want to borrow $10k and let me flip for them to 80k,they can also go and borrow from ah long 33k to pay nus first, then pay back ah long with their future winnings de mah?

Pls advise.

Does this mean, they want to crowd fund 33k, then future winning money they can then keep all?

### Latest on Iris Koh's Claim Against NUS and the $33,000 Statutory Demand

Iris Koh's recent claim that the National University of Singapore (NUS) is "trying to bankrupt" her and her husband Raymond Ng stems from a **statutory demand** issued by NUS for **S$33,000** in legal costs. This is not a new lawsuit from NUS but a follow-up to the ongoing civil suit where **Koh and Ng are suing NUS** (filed in January 2025 for vicarious liability over Associate Professor Ben Leong's actions). In a dramatic turn, Koh alleges the demand is an aggressive tactic to force bankruptcy proceedings if unpaid by October 3, 2025. Here's the breakdown based on her public statements and court context as of September 25, 2025.

#### Key Details of the Claim
- **Koh's Statement**: In a Facebook post on her personal page (dated around September 24–25, 2025), Koh wrote:
> "NUS has served us with a statutory demand for $33,000. We need this amount quickly preferably by 3rd October to pause bankruptcy proceedings. I also owe my lawyer [amount redacted for privacy]. If my civil lawsuits for damages are restrained, my cash flow will inevitably be affected."

She frames this as NUS weaponizing costs to "bankrupt" them, tying it to broader pressures including her criminal trial and the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) application to declare her a "vexatious litigant" (filed September 5, 2025). Koh has launched a fundraising appeal, echoing her 2022 GoFundMe for legal fees against similar critics.

- **What is a Statutory Demand?**: Under Singapore's Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018, it's a formal notice demanding payment of a debt (here, court-awarded costs). If unpaid within 21 days (by ~October 3), the creditor (NUS) can petition for bankruptcy. This is a standard enforcement tool, not unique to NUS, but Koh portrays it as punitive amid her financial strain from multiple lost suits (e.g., S$10,500 to Calvin Cheng in December 2024, unpaid leading to seizures in February 2025).

#### Lawsuit Context and Why Costs Were Awarded
- **The Suit Against NUS**: Koh and Ng sued NUS in the District Court in January 2025, alleging vicarious liability for Leong's 2021 Facebook post labeling Healing the Divide a "domestic terrorist organisation." They claimed NUS failed to supervise Leong, who raised over S$700,000 via crowdfunding for his defense through his NGO, Lionheart Advocates (launched February 2025).
- **Court Ruling**: In a recent hearing (likely mid-September 2025, details not fully public), the court dismissed key aspects of the suit or struck out claims, awarding **costs of S$33,000 to NUS**. This is common in Singapore courts for unsuccessful plaintiffs, especially in what judges have called "abuse of process" cases. NUS, represented by top firm Rajah & Tann, pursued the demand aggressively, citing Koh's history of non-payment (e.g., S$12,000 to HSA in September 2024).
- **Financial Backdrop**: Koh cited discharging her lawyer Wee Pan Lee on September 15, 2025, partly due to costs, amid her criminal trial (14 charges for COVID-19 fraud) and Ng's cheating case. Unpaid costs from prior losses (totaling ~S$50K+) have led to asset seizures, exacerbating her "bankruptcy" narrative.

#### Public and Legal Reaction
- **Koh's Narrative**: She links this to a "coordinated attack" by the government, Leong, and NUS, calling it retaliation for her activism. Fundraising posts urge supporters to donate via PayNow or bank transfer, warning that restrictions on her suits (per AGC application) would "cripple" her.
- **Critics' View**: Forums like Reddit's r/SingaporeRaw and r/singaporehappenings (active threads from September 25) dismiss it as self-inflicted from "frivolous" litigation. Users note: "They probably lost the claim against NUS and were asked to pay damages/cost," with some speculating Leong's NGO funded NUS's fees indirectly.
- **Legal Outlook**: Koh can challenge the demand in court (e.g., via application to set it aside if disputed), but success is low given her track record. The AGC's vexatious litigant bid (hearing pending) could bar future suits without leave, limiting her "cash flow from damages." Bankruptcy would restrict her movements and assets, overlapping with her S$30,000 bail in the criminal case.

This fits Koh's pattern of portraying legal setbacks as persecution, as seen in her 2022 lawyer fee dispute (S$30,000 ordered paid). No official NUS comment, but the university has defended Leong previously. For updates, monitor her Facebook (@iriskoh) or court eLitigation portal. If this escalates to bankruptcy filing, it could dominate headlines by early October.
