These are the people who are most likely going to be affected by the proliferation of fake degrees and the infiltration of IDA as in Indian Dubious Academics.

It appears that the Student Bodies of these 4 Universities are sitting back waiting for laid off PMETs to fight the battle for them. Not even one Student Council from any of the 4 Universities has made a statement on the issue of fake degrees.

The IDAs have already made headway into government agencies, an area once reserved only for local bred citizens. It's not difficult to imagine that years down the road, the IDAs will be the ones conducting interviews as supervisors and heads of departments when local citizens apply for jobs at government agencies. The private sector, as it now stands, is more or less in the situation described.

Student councils have largely adopted the Singapore 'tripartite' structure, where the student body, university and government work together in partnership to resolve any problems and promote a harmonious environment for learning and development. This is far better than what we see in the West, where student councils organize strikes and disrupt school for the sake of being anti-establishment or just simply wanting to skip lessons.

After Tan Wah Piow, Juliet Chin ect2 things have become quiet amongst the student's union or any union for that matter here.
See what happen when the china bus drivers went on strike.
More recently there's Roy and Amos.

All these a sad reflection on the lack of freedom in this place and the harsh legacy of the family-but the biggest irony is the 60% who are still in the slumber while their children's futures have been compromised by the mass influx of foreigners.

Student Council representatives are all our best students and they have a bright future ahead of them precisely because they do not adopt confrontational politics and hooliganism. It is unwise to do so as you don't know if you might antagonize your potential employer. Play it safe, that is the sinkie way.
