Academia folks are very concerned with face, even more so for the close-knit and elitist law family.

Sun Xu was just a barking mad PRC dog. But he didn't exchange benefits for grades. Darinne Ko did. That's corruption and cheating.

Also, Sun Xu is a foreigner, and you know how timid the SG govt is when dealing with foreigners. International diplomacy is at stake.
