SINGAPORE —The FairPrice Group will distribute over 60,000 sets of free drinks and snacks to Muslim customers at 61 of its stores during Ramadan. This initiative will run from 12 March to 9 April, about 30 minutes before and after iftar time, when Muslims break their fast, the supermarket chain said on Tuesday (12 March).
In a media release, FairPrice said each Muslim customer visiting the participating stores will receive a set comprising a drink (such as milk, isotonic beverage, or water) and a snack (such as dates, beef slices, or biscuits), subject to availability.
This marks the 16th consecutive year of such distributions by the group.
Vipul Chawla, the chief executive of FairPrice Group, said, "We are grateful for the opportunity to support our Muslim customers through our community engagement during this period and remain committed to keeping the season’s essentials within reach for all."

FairPrice to host Hari Raya block parties alongside festive discounts

Besides drink and snack distributions, FairPrice will host two Hari Raya block parties on 20 April in Bedok North and Bukit Batok.
Each event is open to residents and will distribute 300 halal bentos alongside various activities such as games and food and drinks sampling.
FairPrice will also host two Hari Raya Mini Bazaars showcasing halal offerings from local brands, including cooked food, cooking pastes, snacks, and drinks. These will take place at the Woodlands 888 branch from 14 to 20 March, and the FairPrice Xtra at AMK Hub from 21 to 27 March.
Until 17 April 2024, special discounts and promotions will also be offered on a range of festive goods. These include discounts on 10 assortments of dates, baking essentials, cleaning supplies, and Hari Raya snacks.
