Coz in Singapore, trash is incinerated (toxic gases properly processed) unlike in every other country in the world where (due to corruption, lack of political will, etc) plastic trash ends up polluting the environment and oceans. Of course, there are unethical Singaporeans who deliberately and routinely litter instead using rubbish bins. Karma's on them.

Btw, notice the 3 NTU scientists behind this study (photo above) appear to be FT rather than Sg.
On a related note, on average, 22,100 new Singapore citizenships were granted per year for the past five years.

In Singapore government needs to recycle plastic bags into raisins and using them to reclaim land because Singapore relationship with the neighbouring countries are not good and no countries willing to sell sands to Singapore.

Who's the dimwit who gave the green light to ban plastic straws?
