I noticed this group are usually:

Middle aged, least 30 years old onwards, typically women
Boomers aka Merdeka generation, Men & Women least 60 years onwards till only head above the coffin

God bless them if they reuse their surgical masks without washing for days or even weeks on end. The amt of bacteria breeding on the masks. Yikes!

There are some people who has already taken a surgical mask as part of their apparels.
I believe those people think that it can protect them to a certain extent.

And some probably just wanted to take the opportunity to cover the ugly face.

As mentioned earlier, surgical masks are only useful for those individuals who are already sick, sneezing and coughing. It prevents the aerosols from dispersing into the open air. Semi useful at best.

In medical protocols, there're no half fucked measures. If so, that person is better off dead. Yes, Ik it's uncomfortable as it suppose to create tight seal around the face. Facial hairs will render it useless as well. I ever seen usually Bangalas with full beard wearing surgical masks during COVID time, LOL
