As the saying goes, home is where the heart is, and for a growing number of people in the U.S. and beyond its
borders, that special place is a stack of shipping containers.

With the demand for affordable housing on the rise across the country, some developers in cities like Detroit and
Seattle have been using a truly outside-the-box thinking to come up with a solution to the problem: building
condominiums out of discarded shipping containers.

US of A got natural disaster issues. Those container can tahan natural disasters or not.

We often use old cargo containers for offices here. A good way to recycle them.

I still prefer yesterday kampong than tomorrow's containers.

So, people are getting poorer.

I'm beginning to get tired looking at it never mind living inside one.

Nothing innovative. Sinkieland contractors have been using this concept for their foreign talents for ages, until govt clampdown.

Imagine the heat inside these container, Sinkies will die of heat strokes

Not doable here....
It's not the building cost that's expensive....it's the cost of the land the container house sits on.

Heat will move through metal a lot faster than through than cement/wood

Cover with insulation and it will not be so bad. As a mobile and temporary shelter it is ideal as a site office being easily transportable.
