So means what ah?

No new cars can be on the road next month?

You know why they suspend COE bidding?

Cos demand for new cars now must be low. Who want to buy a car now when there is no where to drive to purposefully?

With low demand means COE bidding will be low anyway. And likely the car dealers themselves will be in cahoots to get cheap COEs.

Govt then lose money on the COEs.

The bigger joke is that Singaporeans are made to buy insurance and pay high premiums for this COE certificate.

Technically when you are accessed the value of your car at "market value" by the insurance companies, they would include the COE component in its value....which means you paying high premium on something that is "guaranteed" by the gahmen and is refundable pro rata when that COE is retired.

Really pay and pay....
