Reporters have spotted "lookouts" outside MP Yaw Shin Leong's home.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Hougang, recently sacked from the Worker's Party (WP), is currently missing and believed to be overseas.

According to sources, Yaw, 35, had already planned to relocate to overseas as early as several weeks before the WP sacked him.

Yaw is also believed to have left Singapore before the WP held a press conference to announce his sacking.

Sources say that Yaw's wife, Mdm Lau Wang Lin, did not follow him overseas and had chosen to remain in Singapore to deal with the mess Yaw left behind.

It is believed that she may join him in relocating to overseas later on, to start afresh in a place where no one knows them.

Meanwhile, Mdm Lau is believed to have asked two friends to go to her home to check if the coast is clear before she returns.

Yesterday afternoon, a Chinese man appeared outside Yaw's home but left hurriedly upon noticing reporters.
