NORTH-SOUTH LINE DISRUPTED AGAIN DUE TO DAMAGE CAUSED BY RE-SLEEPING WORKS

The North South Line was disrupted again this morning as the Road Rail Vehicle used during the works to replace the sleepers had damaged the signalling equipment.
SMRT explained that some of the trains running between Woodlands and Admiralty had to run at a slower speed.
They also explained that engineers were already aware of the issue and were at the site fixing the problems
SMRT insisted that the delays were only an additional 20 minutes of travel time between the stations but commuters reported that it was actually quite a bit worse.
Complaining on the SMRT facebook page, Singaporeans reported that the train they were on stopped and forced people to alight at Kranji and turned back. This is not in line with the SMRT claim that trains were only moving slower.
Others highlighted that the delays were well over 20mins as there was no room in the subsequent trains to fit into:

QianTing Ting it was not moving at slow speed. it wasnt even moving and all passengers had to alight at kranji on the train i was on and the train went back the reverse way where i came from. how awesome is this?

Justin See I was in that train too. We waited 5 minutes for another train and it was jam packed like tin can when 2 loads of passengers had to squeeze into 1 train. Smrt, where is your solution???
