An anti-Israel protester at New York University credited North Korea Saturday for providing military training to a Palestinian terrorist organization.
The demonstrator detailed North Korea’s backing of Palestine in a video clip shared on X.
“The [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] has actually never recognized the State of Israel,” the protester said. “They have always upheld the right of Palestinian people to self-determination and resistance.”
North Korea has supported a Palestinian state at the United Nations, voting to condemn Israel-occupied territory while opposing the relocation of Gaza residents. An Associated Press report found Hamas terrorists also likely used North Korean weapons during its Oct. 7 attack, which killed more than 1,200 people, most of whom were civilians.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, abbreviated as the PFLP, is a designated terrorist organization in the United States, Canada and European Union.“This is beyond moral and rhetorical support. The DPRK has actively armed and trained Palestinian resistance for decades,” the protester claimed. “The PLO, PFLP and the DFLP have trained troops by the DPRK.”
