For anyone who's interested in getting the tea from Spore sources they can go to
1) GNC
They carry the 500ml bottle of the Flora Flor Essence brand. It is the liquid form & is quite expensive at $55 per bottle
2) Eden Health Foods & Natural Remedies Pte Ltd Located at Peninsula http://www.eden.com.sg/contactus.php
They carries the Essiac Canada International brand. It costs about $70 a bottle. I think it's either capsules or the roots to prepare the liquid form.
I get almost all my supplements from www.iHerb.com because it's cheaper
However I wanted to try the ready made liquid form so I bought it from GNC. The liquid form is more expensive when you compare to the Do-It-Yourself version. A DIY box of 3 packets only cost US$29.17 & you can boil one packet of the ingredients to make 32 fl oz(1 quart). One box has 3 packets, enough to make 3 X 32 = 96 fl oz of the tea.
iHerb also carries the Frontier Natural Products brand. One 16oz bag is only US$22.82. One pound(16ozs) of the Essiac herbs can make alot of the tea
If you get the DIY, the instructions on how to boil the tea are included. Basically you need to use non-chlorinated water & avoid using plastic containers, implements, etc. You should only make enough tea to last for 3 weeks. After you make the tea you need to refrigerate the tea. Each time just mix the tea with some non-chlorinated water & sip it.
I am taking the tea twice a day. I've noticed a mild laxative & diuretic effect. This is good as it means the tea is working, it's purging the toxins from the body You can adjust the dosage from taking the tea 1, 2, 3 times a day. I sometimes suffer from edema(swelling of the legs) so the diuretic effect is welcome & it's a more natural way than taking drugs like Fusix or Spironolactone . I worry about the long term impact that drugs have to the body:(
Essiac tea is often discused in the context of it's anti-cancer properties & people often overlook it's other beneifts. There are plenty of other health benefits. For example it helps if you have diabetes. When I pee I notice a change in the color & smell of my urine. I'll know better after taken the tea longer.

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to prepare it the original way. This is because even if you could get the same herbs it would be laborious process to prepare it like the way Rene Caisse did it. You would have to boil each of the differently herbs separately for differently length of times.
Even if the Essiac tea of today is a poor copy of the original, it has helped many
