When the population gets more educated, lesser people are willing to take up agriculture as a trade.
If one fine day there's no more farmers and fisherman, are we going to eat grass?

No need to be farmer or fisherman when you can be the farm produce and seafood importer.

Agriculture and fisheries become corporatised and are run and managed as companies. Its already happened. Household type family-run farms are unable to meet the increased demands in growth.

Cheers!

Go listen to Jim Rogers. He encouraged everyone to get a farming degree as there will be food shortages and prices are going to be rising exponetially. Jim advised against going into banking and finance as these will tan boh chiak next time.

The key would be what his chldren do. If they go get farming degrees, then ok, he is walking the talk.
